Jellypod made 5,082 AI podcasts and 4,503 of them have no episodes

Jellypod, an AI podcast maker, has 5,082 feeds in the Podcast Index. 4,503 of them, 88.6%, list no episode at all. 234 published an episode in the 90 days before 16 August 2026.

We looked for every feed in the dump that names an AI podcast platform in its generator tag or its host. Six platforms show up, with 5,471 feeds between them. Jellypod has 93% of those feeds.

Most Jellypod feeds stop before the first episode

2,970 Jellypod feeds never got an episode. Another 1,533 carry a title ending in "(feed disabled)" and list nothing. 649 are still called "My First Podcast", 615 of them disabled. Counting feeds with one episode or none, Jellypod is at 92.4%. For all feeds Podcast Index added since January 2025 (Buzzsprout left out, see below) that share is 29.5%.

The same goes for staying active. Of the 661,852 feeds added to the index from January 2025 to the dump, 32.1% published in the last 90 days. For Jellypod it is 4.6%.

The rush was summer 2025

Jellypod feeds arrived in one wave. Podcast Index added 2,679 of them in June, July and August 2025, 1,088 in July alone. There were 1,199 from January to March 2026 and 264 from May to July 2026.

The shows that do get made are mostly teaching material. Education is the top category with 1,022 feeds, and the larger owners include a University of Pavia course channel (38 feeds) and German and Italian language lessons.

AI podcasts are still a small slice

The six platforms account for 5,190 of the 661,852 feeds added since January 2025, 0.8%. Their 43,496 episodes are spread over feeds that mostly stopped early. PodcastAI is the exception: 194 feeds with a median of 47.5 episodes each, most of them started in 2024.

This counts only feeds that say where they came from. A show voiced with AI and uploaded to a general host such as Spotify for Creators or Buzzsprout looks like any other feed in the index and is not in these numbers.

How we counted

Source: Podcast Index feed dump, 16 August 2026, all 4,711,475 feeds. A feed belongs to a platform when its generator tag or host names it. "No episode" means the feed lists no dated episode. "Published in last 90 days" means the newest episode is dated 18 May 2026 or later. Episode counts are capped at 1,000 per feed in the dump, so sums are a floor. Buzzsprout's episode counts are unreliable in the dump, so Buzzsprout feeds are left out of the one-episode-or-none baseline. The matching rules and both tables are in the dataset folder.
