How to Find Podcasts to Be a Guest On

Updated 29 October 2026

Look for shows that already book guests, that still publish, and that give you a way to reach the host. We ran these checks over every English-language feed in the Podcast Index that lists a contact email: 18,868 shows passed all of them on 29 October 2026.

1. Read the last 10 episode titles

A show that interviews guests names them in its titles: "with Jane Doe", "Jane Doe on pricing", "Ep. 212: Jane Doe". A solo show or a news recap does not. We had a model read the last 10 titles of 174,662 feeds with an episode since 17 June 2026 and it marked 47,478 of them as interview shows.

Titles also name people who are only the topic of an episode, such as a defendant in a true crime case or a celebrity in the news. We checked every extracted name a second time and kept a show only when 3 or more different guests who appear on the episode remained. In a sample of 100 shows read before that check, 15 of 518 names were not guests, and 2 of the 100 shows did not interview anyone.

2. Check that the show still publishes

We dropped every show without an episode in the 60 days before 29 October 2026. Of the shows that remain, 10,007 (53%) publish weekly or more often and 4,873 every two weeks.

3. Find the host's email

The host's address usually sits in the feed's itunes:owner field, which the host enters at the hosting platform. Of the 47,184 interview-show feeds we fetched on 29 October 2026, 39,031 (83%) had an address there. Open the show's RSS feed in a browser and search for "itunes:email". If it is empty, look for a contact or guest page on the show's own website.

Skip addresses on anchor.fm, spreaker.com, acast.com and similar domains: those are relay addresses of the hosting platform. Also skip inboxes that a network, publisher or radio station shares across many shows. When we checked 200 rows of the first version of our lists, 27 had a network inbox and 11 had an address that belonged to someone else. We now keep an address only when it is on the show's website domain or spells the show or host name, and a second check confirms it is the host's or the show's own inbox. 10,744 of the 18,868 shows (57%) list one on their own domain.

4. Pick shows your size

10,974 of the 18,599 shows with a visible first episode (59%) started in 2023 or later. The median show has 90 episodes in its feed (Buzzsprout feeds left out, their episode counts are unreliable in the dump). 265 shows have 1,000 or more.

5. Pitch one episode idea

Name a recent episode of the show, say in one sentence what you would talk about, and link one thing you made.

We sell the shows that passed all checks as CSV lists per topic, $29 each, with host name, email, website, frequency and recent guests. Each list page has the figures for that topic and a free 25-show sample. The 20 largest lists, most shows first:
