# Podcast hosting platforms in the Podcast Index and on Apple's top-100 charts

Three files behind the report "Anchor hosts 40% of all podcasts and 15% of
Apple's top-100 charts".

## hosts.csv
One row per hosting platform with at least 5,000 feeds or at least 5 chart
shows, ranked by chart shows.
Columns: platform, feeds, feed_share_pct (of 4,711,475 feeds), active_90d,
active_share_pct (of that platform's feeds), chart_shows (distinct shows across
the 18 storefronts), chart_share_pct (of 1,387 joined chart shows), ratio
(chart share divided by feed share), median_episodes.

## storefronts.csv
One row per Apple storefront.
Columns: storefront, joined_shows, top_host, top_host_share_pct, anchor_shows,
anchor_share_pct, enterprise_share_pct, creator_share_pct. The enterprise and
creator host lists are named in METHOD.md.

## chart_shows.csv
The 1,387 chart shows that joined to the Podcast Index dump, one row each.
Columns: itunesId, title, host, storefronts_count, first_storefront,
episodeCount, oldest_year, category1, explicit. No feed description text.
